Marketing Fertilizer in Iran

In 2022 alone, Iran’s cultivated area for agricultural crops spanned an impressive 11.6 million hectares, yielding a remarkable production of 49 million tons. Additionally, horticultural crops covered 2.7 million hectares, yielding 18 million tons. These numbers underscore the significance of a robust fertilizer supply to sustain such vast agricultural outputs.

Iran’s import of fertilizers is projected to increase to 5990 metric tons by 2026.
